Dubai is a city bursting with luxury, modern architecture, and vibrant nightlife—and I got to experience it during the unforgettable Dubai Expo 2020 (even though it happened in 2021 thanks to the pandemic). The Expo, also known as the World’s Fair, spanned 100 acres with 192 countries showcasing the future through innovation. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore incredible exhibits, live performances, workshops, and international cuisine while learning about sustainability, technology, and global partnerships.
During my four days at the Expo, I immersed myself in future-forward ideas, cultural connections, and jaw-dropping displays of creativity. Outside the Expo, Dubai dazzled with fine dining, high-end shopping, stunning beaches, and wild desert adventures.
One highlight? Dune bashing by day and camel riding under the full moon, complete with a fire show and henna tattoos from the locals. I also visited the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world!) and the Ain Dubai Ferris wheel—both offering breathtaking views.
Evenings were spent enjoying rooftop dinners, soaking in the city's dazzling skyline, and of course, plenty of shopping in the world’s luxury capital. I also took a side trip to Abu Dhabi, where I marveled at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque's stunning white marble architecture, relaxed on Corniche Beach, and even braved Ferrari World’s Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world!
Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer a unique blend of tradition and modernity, making the Middle East an absolutely fascinating destination that I’d recommend to anyone.
